Two-Year-Old Adorably Belts Out the National Anthem

A nice surprise was given to the audience at a Southern Regional high school varsity basketball game in Manahawkin, New Jersey! Holding his 2-year-old son’s hand, Clark Harris, a former student at the NJ school and a Cincinnati Bengal, strode out onto the court. Beside his father, little Trent Harris started singing his endearing version of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Trent murmurs the first line of his song, nervously starting. With the second line, he gains some confidence, and Daddy stealthily leaves the court. The fans pay close attention as Trent sings on.

When Trent shouts out the “rocket’s red glare,” it’s clear that he understands the song. He enters the scene where the bombs are exploding in the air while the audience laughs.

A toddler singing the National Anthem in front of a large crowd is not an easy task, but he does a fantastic job! He must have spent some time honing it at home! In addition to remembering the phrases, he also avoided stage fright. The crowd was happy, and his parents must have been just as proud.
