Despite her father, Donald Trump, securing the 2024 Presidential nomination, Ivanka Trump is stepping away from the political spotlight.

A source close to the Trump family revealed to that Ivanka, former senior advisor to her father, has decided not to return to politics, according to the Daily Mail.

The decision stems from the aftermath of the January 6th insurrection and her subpoena during the investigation into her father’s attempts to stay in power.

“She felt like she was being asked to reveal something she did not know anything about and she never wants to be in [that] position again,” the source shared.

Ivanka, who has always prioritized her family, is focusing on her children and private ventures. “Her family means the world to her and she is now focusing on being a mom and other private ventures,” the source added.

Ivanka’s involvement with the campaign this time around has been minimal. “She is perfectly fine handing the reins to Lara [Trump] this time around. Not her circus, not her monkeys.”

Ivanka’s absence from the 2024 campaign comes as no surprise, given her previous statement following her absence from the 2022 campaign launch. At that time, she stated per Business Insider: “I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.”

During her father’s campaign in 2016 and 2020, Ivanka played a more visible role, standing by his side at numerous rallies across the country. However, this year, she did not join him on the campaign trail, though she made a rare appearance at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Ivanka was seen in a stunning white suit, standing apart from her family, with some critics speculating that she was showing subtle support for Democrats by wearing the non-Republican color.

Body language expert Judi James commented on the change in Ivanka’s role within the family’s political dynamic. “When Trump became 45th US President, Ivanka’s body language behavior and her stage positioning defined her more as First Lady than Trump’s daughter,” James said.

However, James noted that now, Melania Trump has become the more prominent figure in the public eye, with Ivanka relegated to a more peripheral role. “You have to look to find Ivanka now,” James added, noting how Ivanka was positioned farther from her father and other key family members during the convention.

In the lead-up to the election, Ivanka remained focused on her family life, sharing personal reflections on Instagram rather than engaging in political discourse. She posted a list of life lessons learned after her 43rd birthday, highlighting the importance of family, friends, and forgiveness.

This marks a clear shift in Ivanka’s priorities, as she embraces a quieter, more private life away from the political limelight.
